Day 1 USA to Shanghai

You will board an international flight from USA to Shanghai.

 

Day 2 Shanghai

Your flight will arrive at Shanghai in the evening. A tour guide will take you to your hotel for a good nights rest.

 

Day 3 Shanghai to Yangtze River Cruise

Attractions during your tour of Shanghai will take you to the Yu Garden, the Nanjing Road and the famous Bund. As we walk along the river at the Bund, you will notice the past international influences of Shanghai. Later in the evening, you will board the Victoria Cruise Ship and begin the exciting Yangtze River Adventure.

 

Day 4 Yangtze River Cruise

The first shore excursion on the cruise will be Yangzhou City, which is nearly 2500 years old and surrounded by weeping willows and pavilions. After lunch, you will continue your journey to Nanjing. The sites you will visit during this tour of Nanjing will include the Sun Yat Sen Mauseoleum and the Ming Emperor Zhu YuanZhangs tomb site. Later in the evening, you will reboard the cruise ship and head for Mt. Huangshan.

 

Day 5 Yangtze River Cruise

Upon arrival at Mt. Huangshan, you will go on a full day excursion. Mt. Huangshan is famous for its unusual rock formations, pine trees, sea of clouds, and their numerous hot springs. In the evening, you will board the ship again and leave for Mt. Lushan.

 

Day 6 Yangtze River Cruise

After breakfast, you will leave for a full day of exploration at Mt. Lushan. Spend the whole day amidst Mt. Lushans precipitous cliffs, waterfalls, and deep gullies.

 

Day 7 Yangtze River Cruise

When you arrive in Wuhan, your tour guide will take you on a full day excursion. Wuhan is considered a passageway to nine provinces because of its central accessibilitiy to land and water. Attractions of this include the Yellow Crane Tower, East Lake, and other points of interest. Our cruise ship departs Wuhan in the evening.

 

Day 8 Yangtze River Cruise

You will arrive in Yueyang in the morning. Yueyang lies at the southern bank of the Yangtze River and is famous for its tortoise-snake wine, paper folding fans, artistic porcelain wares and silver needle tea. Our ship will dock and you will have a chance to visit this ancient city.

 

Day 9 Yangtze River Cruise

The three Gorges Dam project was designed to control the waters of the Yangtze River. The shore excursion takes us on a tour of this mighty dam. You will pass through the Xiling Gorge and the Wu Gorge and arrive at Wushan in the evening.

 

Day 10 Yangtze River Cruise

The three lesser Gorges include the DragonGAte, the Misty, and the Emerald Gorge. You will leave the ship to board a small motorized sampans for an exciting upstream ride on the Daning River to access the spectacular sights of these gorges. The cruise ship will pass the Qutang Gorge in the afternoon.

 

Day 11 Yangtze River Cruise

You will arrive at Fengdu in the morning. Fengdu is better known to locals as the Ghost City. It is believed that this city is the gateway to hell. A cable car will take you to up the mountain to visit this city of ghosts.

 

Day 12 Yangtze River Cruise to Xian

The Yangtze River Cruise will end in the morning when you arrive at Chongqing. A famous Szechuan cuisine will be served for lunch in Chongqing. In the afternoon, you will board a flight and head for Xian, the historic starting point of the famed Silk Road. After arriving at Xian, a tour guide will help you transfer to your hotel for some rest.

 

Day 13 Xian

The discovery of Qin Shi Huangs Terra Cotta Warriors brings numerous tourists to Xian every year. With the opening of yet another excavation pit, we are able to see more of the warriors that wee made to protect Chinas first emperor in death. The Xian city tour also includes visits to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the ancient City Wall. In the evening, after an exciting Imperial Dumpling Banquet, you can enjoy a Stage Opera of the Tang Dynasty.

 

Day 14 Xian to Beijing

After breakfast at the hotel, you will board a flight to Beijing, Chinas capital city. When you arrive in Beijing, you will take a tour of the solemn Temple of Heaven. You will then check in to your hotel for some rest.

 

Day 15 Beijing

Beijing is the political center of Chinas past and present. Attractions you will see on this tour of Beijing include the Tiananmen Square, the worlds largest public square, the Summer Palace, and the Forbidden City. You will be able to see the splendor in which Chinas emperors lived. In the evening, you will feast upon Chinas famous Peking Duck.

 

Day 16 Beijing

A tour of China will certainly not be complete if you have not visited the Great Wall. Spanning thousands of miles across Northern China, the Great Wall has been aptly named one of the worlds seven great man-made wonders. After you descend from the wall, you will head over to the Ming Tomb Museum and in the evening, you can attend a Chinese Acrobatics Show.

 

Day 17 Beijing

You will have a full day of leisure time. You may continue to explore the city on your own or you can use this time to do some last minute souvenir shopping.

 

Day 18 Beijing to USA

You will board an international flight from Beijing to USA.
