Day 1 USA to Beijing

You will begin your vacation by boarding an international flight bound for the capital of China, Beijing.  You will cross the International Date Line and spend the night aboard the plane.

 

Day 2 Beijing

Your flight will arrive in Beijing in the evening.  A tour guide will help you transfer to the hotel for a good night’s sleep.

 

Day 3 Beijing

Beijing is the political center of China’s past and present.  A full day tour will take you to Tiananmen Square, the largest public square in the world.  You will also visit the Summer Palace and the Forbidden City where you can see the splendor in which China’s emperors lived.  In the evening, enjoy the world famous Peking Duck Banquet.

 

Day 4 Beijing

Surely, the highlight of a China tour will not be complete without visiting the Great Wall of China.  Spanning thousands of miles across Northern China, the Great Wall has been aptly named one of the world’s seven great man-made wonders.  After descending from the wall, you will head to the Ming Tomb Museum and the solemn Temple of Heaven.

 

Day 5 Beijing

Today will be a full day of leisure time for you to explore the city on your own.

 

Day 6 Beijing to Xian

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for a flight to the city of Xian, the historica starting point of the famed Silk Road.  Upon arrival, your tour guide will help you to check in to your hotel for an overnight stay. 

 

Day 7 Xian

The discovery of Qin Shi Huang’s Terra Cotta Warriors brings numerous tourists to Xian every year.  With the opening of yet another pit, you will be able to see more of the warriors that were made to protect China’s first emperor in death.  The Xian city tour also includes visits to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the ancient City Wall.  In the evening, you will enjoy a nice Imperial Dumpling Banquet and a Stage Opera of the Tang Dynasty.

 

Day 8 Xian to Shanghai

In the morning, you will transfer to the airport for a flight to Shanghai, the largest city in China.  The afternoon tour will take you to the famous Bund and Nanjing Road.  The exotic, foreign style buildings earned the Bund a reputation of being an “International Architecture Museum.”  You will also visit the Yu Garden, a classical Ming Dynasty garden with pavillions, towers, terraces and halls everywhere.  In the evening, you will attend a Chinese Acrobatics Show.

 

Day 9 Shanghai

Enjoy a full day of leisure time.  You will have the day to explore the city on your own.

 

Day 10 Shanghai to USA

You will have the morning to finish any last minute souvenir shopping before your departure on an overnight flight to USA in the afternoon.
